Question 1

Why choose RakPlus PPR pipes for UAE high-temperature plumbing systems?

Accepted Answer

RakPlus PPR pipes are engineered from 100% Virgin Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PP-R Type 3) — a molecularly stable matrix that resists creep, scaling, and chlorine degradation. Every brass-insert transition fitting is machined from 100% Brass, never plated, never hybrid. The dual-purity construction preserves mechanical integrity at 95°C continuous operating temperatures and 100°C short-term peaks — the thermal envelope of high-temperature plumbing systems in the UAE. This is why specifying engineers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the wider GCC select RakPlus for hotels, hospitals, and high-rise residential towers.

Question 2

Are RakPlus PPR piping systems certified for potable drinking water?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every RakPlus PPR pipe and brass-insert fitting is WRAS approved (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme), the international benchmark for materials in contact with potable drinking water. WRAS approval is independently tested and certified, and is the standard required by consultants and municipalities across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. The certification applies to the complete RakPlus PP-R system — pipes, fittings, and brass-insert transitions.

Question 3

What is the certified operating lifespan of RakPlus systems?

Accepted Answer

Every RakPlus PPR system carries a 50-year manufacturer service life guarantee. The 50-year warranty is the longest published guarantee offered by any PPR pipe manufacturer in the UAE, and is written into every RakPlus commercial quotation. The certified 50-year service life is a direct consequence of the 100% Polymer pipe matrix, 100% Brass insert fittings, and WRAS approved material specification, manufactured to German Standard DIN 8077/8078 and welded to DVS 2207.

Question 4

What temperature and pressure ratings do RakPlus PPR pipes handle?

Accepted Answer

RakPlus PPR pipes are available in four pressure classes — PN10 (SDR 11), PN16 (SDR 7.4), PN20 (SDR 6), and PN25 (SDR 5) — covering the full range of UAE plumbing requirements from residential cold-water distribution to industrial high-pressure risers. Operating temperature ratings are 70°C continuous with 100°C short-term peaks across all classes, with PN20 and PN25 rated for up to 95°C in hot-water recirculation systems. Pipe diameters are stocked from 20 mm to 160 mm. All pressure and temperature figures are published in the RakPlus technical datasheet and are available on request.
